Every year around 500 children in Germany are diagnosed with a brain tumor, 50 of those with the highly malignant Diffuse Midline Glioma (DMG) in the brainstem. The survival rate after intense radio- and chemotherapy is only about eleven to 16 months. Behind these numbers are the fates of young patients, that touched the whole Bioventure team deeply.

This is why we decided to support the research of these tumor with this years’ Christmas fundraiser. The organization Harzer Sonnenzwerge who are committed to helping affected children and families deserve just as much help. This important support helps to improve life prospects for the little patients.

Once again, we were able to acquire generous donations from our Bioventure investors and rech a high donation amount with their help. Altogether we were able to donate 25.000 € because of this great support! The money was equally separated between both recipients, the checque handover ceremony took place on Friday, 15^th December 2023 in the university hospital in Göttingen. We want to thank all donors for their contribution!
